Requiring Attention at a Distance

I have written and talked about teaching your dog to pay attention in heel position (Read it Here!), but Obedience is also hard because our dogs have to pay attention to us at a distance. It’s not very exciting for a dog to watch you walk away in silence, and it’s hard to keep the dog engaged during the Signal and Command Discrimination exercises.
